We, that is, the people of the world, think that we know it all. It is hard to admit that our knowledge might be limited or some truths of life we might have never seen or understood.
Recently, a friend of mine had to face some tough time. He could not follow his dreams because of some health reasons and that obviously broke his heart. But he refused to see the silver lining, his family needed him to be home and away from that stuff.
The reason I shared this is simple, many times we personally feel that the universe is working against us, that we have lost all hope and that fate has played a cruel trick on us. That all is lost, but one has to see the bigger picture, sometimes if you just open your head and accept the possibilities; it turns out that every barrier; every failure; comes with a silver lining. The Universe did not set out to ruin our lives, fate does not have a personal grudge against us and the world didn't in the large scheme of things decide to screw up our lives for kicks.
Indeed, there are failures, in which the silver lining is not easy to see. Sometimes we cannot see any good coming out of it. For example, me failing a subject I liked last year. What did any one gain from that is a mystery to me, but maybe it was a lesson for me over confidence and cockiness.
The truth is everything in this world has a reason behind it, and nothing happens without a reason, but the reason is never that the universe doesn't like us.
Agreed, but I think it always takes some time to realize what one has gained or lost from an event. It's always in retrospective that you can understand the bigger picture. Time has it's own way of healing and showing you new perspectives.
